De Trident à Oswego NY (le 13 août 2011)

Xavier nous accompagne pour nous aider à passer les nombreuses écluses d'Oswego à Troy NY.

Xavier is travelling with us to give us a hand in the locks from Oswego to Troy (NY).

L'avantage de se lever tôt, c'est de voir le soleil se lever. Tout un spectacle vu du Lac Ontario. On annonçait des vagues de moins d'un demi mètre... elles n'ont pas tardé à atteindre plus d'un mètre et demi, mais le mât était bien retenu par des sangles, et il a très bien tenu le coup.
The advantage of rising early is to see the sunrise. Quite a show seen from Lake Ontario.
The forecast was for waves of less then half a meter but they quickly reached more then 1 metre and a half. No worry, the mast was well fastened and it held.

Nous avions l'habitude d'aller au Oswego Yacht Club, mais cette fois, nous sommes allés dans une marina pour faire le plein de diesel, d'eau et vider le réservoir septique. Nous sommes allés faire un petit tour à la première écluse, sous une chaleur accablante. Un bon prétexte pour aller prendre un pot sur une terrasse près du canal non?

Un bel orage en soirée, et nuit tranquille à bord !

We usually go to the Oswego Yacht Club but this time we went to the marina to fill up on diesel, water, and empty the septic tank. We walked to the lst lock (#8) under a very hot sun. A good excuse to have a beer on a terrace no?
We had a spectacular thunder storm in the evening, with lots of lightning, and a quiet night on board.
