At lock # 18, we are greeted in French 'Bonjour" from the lockmaster. They talk to one another so they already know that you are coming their way before you arrive. We are often the only boat in the locks. It is not surprising at this time of the year. It is easier that way for us!

We tie up for the night at Little Falls (NY) at the municipal dock. The manager offers to bring us downtown in her car so we can buy some wine and a fresh veggies and fruits. It is pouring rain.
According to her, there has been very few boats transiting the canal since mid-july.
Christian and I decided to walk back in spite of the rain to explore the area. It was worth it!
