Après une nuit très venteuse au cours de laquelle l'éolienne n'a pas chômé, le capitaine a profité de la matinée pour faire le plein de diesel et d'eau pendant que je faisais un peu de ménage dans la cabine.
Nous sommes allés rejoindre André et Olga (Mystic Bond) en youyou au bout de Town Creek. Ils avaient loué une voiture. Nous sommes allés ensemble voir leur bateau amarré à Bachelor Point. Nous sommes partis peu après en auto pour nous rendre à Easton ou nous avons fait quelques courses (West Marine, quincaillerie, vins etc) après quoi nous avons visité à pied la partie historique de la ville... Nous avons pu constater les ravages de la récession économique. Plusieurs studios, boutiques, et galeries avaient fermé leurs portes.
After a very windy night to the sounds of our wind generator, the captain spent the morning filling up with diesel and water, checking the oil etc while I did a bit of cleaning in the cabin.
In the afternoon, we took the dinghy and we went to meet Olga and André (Mystic Bond) at the end of Town Creek. They had rented a car and we with to see Bachelor Point where their beautiful trawler is tied up. After wich, we went to Easton to run some errands (hardware, West Marine, Wine store ) and visit by foot the lovely historic downtown, where we couldn't help but see the signs of the recession. Several studios, stores, galleries, had closed their doors for good.
On our way, Olga and André had a photo op for me. En route pour Easton, Olga et André avait quelque chose pour la photographe en moi:
Oreo Cows ! Des vaches Oreo ;-)))
They are Belted Galloway Cows, a scott breed ! Ce sont des vaches écosaisses "Belted Galloway"
They had two goats with similar coats. Ils avaient aussi 2 chèvres Oreo!
André et Olga nous ont aussi amené à leur petit resto favori d'Easton . Nous nous sommes régalés !
André and Olga brought us to their favorite little italian restaurant in Easton. We had a very good dinner in their company.
